Neustar is in the process of expanding the capabilities of its automated pipeline that supports its Data Onboarding business.  As part of this effort, we are continuing to add support for new workflows and enhancing existing ones.

The engineer in this role will be responsible for building new configuration metadata, as well as supporting the effort to build self-service tools that will be used by internal and external parties.  This will include building new API endpoints and using existing as required.  The engineer will also be responsible for creating new and improving existing unit and integration tests, as well as leveraging new test frameworks to improve overall system quality.

There will also be opportunities to work in a Big Data environment for supporting new pipeline workflows and generating metrics and statistics for reporting purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with team members to enhance configuration metadata
  • Development of unit tests
  • Generate metrics and statistics for reporting purposes

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • In a degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Java
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Git
  • Javascript
  • Python
  • Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, Spark)
  • Scripting languages (Bash, Perl, etc.)
